Truck Rental Tips

Packing your Moving Truck Rental can be a chore if you aren’t sure of how to do it. If you wait until you have your belongings stacked outside of the moving truck and then start loading it without a plan, you will most likely run out of space and patience long before your last item is loaded.

Moving Truck Tips

  • You cannot plan to pack the moving truck the same as you would a box. Just because they have the same essential shape, it doesn‘t mean they pack the same. With a moving truck, you only have one end to load from, not the entire top, so you need to plan out your loading procedure.
  • You have the full height of the trailer to work with, so start at the back of the trailer and pack up to the ceiling before moving on to the next space.
  • Make the best use of available space. Continue loading the trailer placing heavy items on the bottom, fragile and lighter items on the top. Pack it high and tight.
  • Be certain to place cardboard or plastic sheeting on the floor of the moving truck prior to loading. This will prevent your belongings from getting dirty and stained.
  • Begin by loading your heavy appliances first. Place them on the floor against the front wall of the truck. Then load sofas on end, in the right or left corners of the front wall of the trailer and secure them in place with large heavy boxes or appliances.

Packing your Moving Truck Rental efficiently means you save time and money!
