Packing Tips for the Kitchen
The kitchen is one of the most densely packed rooms in any household and many people instinctively want to pack it in the same way as they come across it. The truth is that most everything ends up in the kitchen eventually, no matter what it is. This is what makes packing the kitchen so difficult. There are simply too many ways to potentially organize it that some people give up before then even really start.
Packing Tips for Kitchens
Large appliances, small appliances, decorative items, everyday breakables, various tools and knickknacks, canned goods, frozen foods, half eaten bags of chips and a whole bunch of very expensive spices that have been barely used, all of these can be found in a typical kitchen. Packing a kitchen usually feels like packing an entire household well before you’re finished with the first row cabinets.
The truth is that anyone can throw things in boxes and be done with it, but you’ll most likely make mistakes that will cost you in the end. Never give into the temptation of the Mystery Box. Much like the Mystery Drawer or the Junk Drawer in kitchen, the Mystery Box is when you throw everything into a box in the hopes that it will be closed up and forgotten and you won’t have to worry about packing it carefully. Don’t do it.
Separate your kitchen items, even in the junk drawer. Organize them and put them in the correct box, with a label.
Always remember to label your boxes because no label means you will have no idea of what box goes where or what is in it. A long struggle of opening, rummaging, shifting and closing is what’s in store for you without the right packing tips.
