Moving Tips for Long Distance Moving Day
All of the planning and organization comes to a culmination of activity on the day of your big move. The big day of your move can be a hectic mess if you are not careful, so pay attention to clear and simple moving tips to make your move a smoother experience.
Moving Tips for The Day
Follow these handy moving tips and the final day of your long distance move will be stress free and over quickly.
- Plan ahead for Parking: Location is always important, and never more so then on the day of your move. Know where you will park the moving truck or trailer while loading and unloading! If you are moving long distance from a quiet rural or suburban area, then parking will not be a problem. If you live in a city with limited parking, however, you are going to want to plan ahead! Have some friends come over early and take up some parking spaces that can be used when your moving truck arrives.
- Plan to Pay: Be prepared to pay your moving company according to your agreement. It is vital that you understand that you are responsible for paying all charges due in the agreed upon method. Payment can be in many different ways, such as cash, certified check, traveler’s check, or bank check (one drawn by a bank on itself and signed by an officer of the bank.) If you know ahead of time what method of payment you want to use, talk it over with your long distance moving company to ensure that they do accept that type of payment.
